Our Story

We live full-time in Big Al, our Airstream travel trailer. After eight years of exploring America we had a desire to create a company that inspired others to experience the adventure and freedom that we have discovered on the open road. Having spent most of our time in the National Parks and Monuments as well as Americas other Wild Lands, we knew we wanted to approach this in the most sustainable way possible. The way sunsead creates it's designs is a reflection of our deep love for these wild places where we have spent so much time.

Our design studio and headquarters is run fully on solar power (which we installed ourselves). The other aspects of Sunsead are as sustainable as we can make them. For more information on sustainability, please check out our sustainability story. 

We know that travel is about much more than the destination. It's that wonderful sense of anticipation as you plan your adventure. All the time leading up to the trip as you look forward to, not just the trip you planned, but the unexpected surprises that happen along the way (This is where most of the great stories come from!). Most memorable trips wouldn't be as interesting if it weren't for the great people that you meet along the way, fellow lovers of adventure that you may never see again, but will remember forever, or become lifelong friends. It's all part of the amazing experience of travel. And finally, you have the pictures and stories to share with friends and family.
